New Orleans–born vocalist Tyron “Bogey” Thornton leads The Viceroy in a high-energy celebration of soul, funk, and R&B, built on tight, groove-forward performances. A band that knows how to move a room, Bogey & The Viceroy bring a natural feel and deep love of groove to every show. First performed at the late, great Vista Room just before the world shut down in 2020, this tribute returns in honor of the 10th anniversary of Prince’s passing, celebrating the music and influence of one of the most important artists of our time. Rather than imitation, the band puts their own stamp on Prince’s work—mixing beloved classics with fan-favorite surprises, including songs Prince wrote for himself and for other artists, spanning his late-1970s breakthrough through his iconic 1980s era. With an expanded lineup featuring horns and layered vocals, the performance captures the boldness, creativity, and unmistakable energy of that legendary period.
