Paul Simon: A Quiet Celebration
CRITIC'S PICK:
Mon., July 13
Paul Simon, Synovus Bank Amphitheatre at Chastain Park - Legendary singer/songwriter Simon brings his critically acclaimed A Quiet Celebration show to the States, likely following the same set list of his recent European jaunt. As the tour's name implies, this is a more acoustic-based performance where he plays 2023s Seven Psalms in its entirety for the first set, followed by 17 rearranged hits, and obscurities, from his 60-year career. Wife Edie Brickell joins on harmonies for some songs, but this will be a wonderfully intimate experience, as long as the weather holds up. Because of his well-documented hearing issues, and age (he's 84), this will likely be his final tour. - Hal Horowitz
