Meet Cate Osborn, aka Catieosaurus: TikTok phenomenon, ADHD advocate, and improbable star of the imaginary series Ships of the Northern Fleet. Wildly Unprepared is not a magic show, but it's not...NOT a magic show. It's a history lecture, a comedy special, an improv experiment, and a deep dive into cultural oddities. It exists in the chaotic interstitial space between genres, which is precisely where Cate thrives. This is what happens when you give an ADHD historian with two Shakespeare degrees and expertise in neurodivergent intimacy a stage, some magic tricks, and permission to talk about whatever she wants. Which tonight might be the history of Victorian stage magic. Or medieval guilds. Or Renaissance festivals. Or why we pull rabbits from hats. Or sea shanties. The magic is real, the history is meticulously researched, and somehow it all connects. Cate weaves together forgotten women, fascinating cultural moments, and random historical footnotes, then shows how they all tell the same story about power, control, and who decides what's "correct."
