Daniel Caesar - Son Of Spergy Tour

Daniel Caesar, Faye Webster, State Farm Arena - Canadian soul singer Caesar follows in the more melodic, even sensual, footsteps of D'angelo and H.E.R. His collaboration with the latter singer resulted in his most popular track, the stripped-down bedroom pop of "Best Part." But Caesar also gravitates to darker indie artists such as Bon Iver and Blood Orange who both appear on 2025s Son of Spergy (Spergy is his dad). There's little to no hip-hop in his sweet, often melancholy songs, setting him apart from many of his contemporaries. Atlanta bred indie-pop opener Webster, a major headliner in her own right, might attract her own audience to the gig. It's a cool bill, especially if Webster returns to take the H.E.R. part in the aforementioned hit. - Hal Horowitz
