Take a trip through Boots Riley’s sharp new satire at ‘I Love Boosters’ SCADshow screening Join filmmaker and rap artist Boots Riley for a special advance screening of his new film I Love Boosters, followed by an insightful conversation about the making of the film. I Love Boosters follows a crew of professional shoplifters led by Corvette (Keke Palmer) as they take aim at cutthroat fashion maven Christine Smith (Demi Moore). Premiering to acclaim at SXSW 2026, the film’s ensemble also includes Naomi Ackie, Taylour Paige, Poppy Liu, Eiza González, LaKeith Stanfield, Will Poulter, and Don Cheadle.

Songwriter and lead vocalist for The Coup and Street Sweeper Social Club, the Oakland-based Riley made his feature film debut with 2018’s Sorry to Bother You, earning Gotham Award, Directors Guild of America Award, and Independent Spirit Award nominations. With The Coup, Riley recorded the film's soundtrack and a 2012 album of the same name inspired by his original film screenplay. Riley is also the creator and director of the Prime Video series I’m a Virgo.
