Fort Knox Band is a six-piece group out of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, formed in fall 2023 when a handful of Montgomery Bell Academy alumni reconnected on campus and finally got the band off the ground. Within their first five months they landed 14 shows across Tennessee and Georgia — momentum built largely on chemistry, hustle, and understanding. Their sound draws from a wide-ranging well: think Allman Brothers, Herbie Hancock, and Pearl Jam all sharing a setlist. Live, they’re known for high energy, deep crowd interaction, and a genuine love of improvisation — extending songs, trading solos, and jamming on original compositions. With new originals in the works and a growing regional presence, they’re a band that’s just getting started.
