CRITIC’S PICK
Tues., Oct. 20
The Linda Lindas, Grace Bowers, Terminal West — These West Coast riot grrls have been playing since 2018 when their ages ranged from seven to thirteen. They are older and wiser now, with three full albums released in a dynamic punk/pop/garage style somewhat similar to the earliest recordings of the Go-Gos and the Bangles, but rawer. They’ll feature music from Gotta Get Out, released a few months ago. It’s their most focused and polished disc, but in no ways a sellout. Opening psychedelic blues rocking guitarist Bowers has been gaining ground quickly in her genre. Other than their genders and youthful age there aren’t many similarities between the two acts, but it should be a rousing gig regardless. — Hal Horowitz
