Kacey Musgraves, Charles Wesley Grodin, State Farm Arena - Dulcet voiced Texas singer/songwriter Musgraves released her first hit album in 2013 (arriving nearly a decade after her debut) and hasn't stopped her upward mobility career since. Although lumped into the country genre (her most recent set features a duet with Willie Nelson), she's more of a spirited rootsy pop artist like Miranda Lambert (who also appears on her current release) avoiding an overly slick sound while notching singles on country radio. She has also attracted a younger, edgier audience helped by guesting on songs from the Flaming Lips and Billy Strings. Grodin, a popular headlining singer/songwriter of smaller venues, makes a terrific double bill. - Hal Horowitz
