FRED Armisen: Comedy FOR Musicians BUT Everyone IS Welcome
CRITIC’S PICK
Sat., Oct. 3
Fred Armisen: Comedy For Musicians But Everyone Is Welcome, Tabernacle — Fred Armisen’s fall tour, which kicks off in Atlanta and runs through the end of October, is a nod to his on-and-off stints as a drummer for bands like Trenchmouth, Blue Man Group, and Cretin Family. The comedian, writer and actor initially got a gig with Saturday Night Live in 2002 and stayed put until 2013. He went on to do two series for IFC — Portlandia with Carrie Brownstein and Documentary Now with Seth Myers and Bill Hader. Dozens of movies followed, as did an album titled 100 Sound Effects released in 2025. That’s just scratching the surface. His stand-up show is sure to have deadpan humor, impressions, and plenty of weirdness. — Kevin C. Madigan
