Michael Franti, Buckhead Theater - It's the Heartstrings and Dynamite tour, billed as an intimate show. Veteran roots musician Franti leaves his longtime Spearhead band at home and tours with an outfit called the Michael Franti Trio. It promises to be a stripped-down, friendlier stroll along memory lane as Franti revisits a quarter century of near hits in a smaller venue. Expect his usual smorgasbord of sweet, upbeat soul ("The Sound of Sunshine" is his most streamed song), folk, hip-hop and reggae with likely a large helping of socio-political commentary from the always engaging frontman. - Hal Horowitz
