CRITIC’S PICK: Sun., August 16, Atlanta Blues Society Blues Challenge, Madlife Stage and Studios - Be prepared for a long, perhaps very long day, and evening, as local bands vie to represent the city in a variety of categories at 2027s International Blues Challenge in Memphis. It’s scheduled from 1-8PM but typically goes longer. Regardless, it’s the best way to experience a wide representation of Atlanta’s finest roots and blues acts with excellent acoustics and plenty of refreshments available. — Hal Horowitz
