Staying local for Labor Day has its perks, especially when rum and guava BBQ ribs are involved. Wylie & Rum is serving its full island-inspired menu throughout the holiday weekend, from jerk chicken wings and Bohemian shrimp fritters to the Miami Cuban, Rasta Pasta and famous slow-cooked ribs smothered in guava BBQ sauce. The bar is joining the festivities with two weekend specials: a Triple Spiced Pineapple Margarita with tequila, muddled peppers, pineapple and citrus, and a Strawberry Basil Cooler with white rum, muddled berries, basil and lime. Save room for the pineapple upside-down bread pudding with rum caramel sauce.
