Soul Cinema Sundays presents a special screening of JUICE on Sunday, Sept. 20 at 7 PM at the Plaza Theatre in Atlanta commemorating the 30th anniversary of the passing of Tupac Shakur and examining the life, legacy, and lasting cultural impact of one of Hip Hop's most influential figures. With the recent trial bringing renewed national attention to the circumstances surrounding Tupac's death, this screening creates an opportunity to look beyond the headlines and examine the artist and the cultural forces that shaped him. The evening will begin with a pre-film screening of "Respect Due: Ain't No Fun" by local MC, Stahhr. The screening will be hosted by poet Abyss Graham. The after film discussion will be led by AJC Journalist Ernie Suggs, with guests, Entertainment Journalist Sonia Murray, and Hip-Hop professor Joe Stewart.
