Pretty as a Penny Productions, a 501(c)(3) non-profit professional theater company, debuts its inaugural mainstage show, Hairspray, at the Lawrenceville Arts Center from Oct 2-24, 2026. Directed by Jono Davis, this Tony Award-winning musical transports audiences to 1962 Baltimore, following optimistic Tracy Turnblad as she dances her way onto local television and champions racial integration and size acceptance.
Beyond the stage, 100% of performance proceeds directly underwrite free community theater workshops and student ticket subsidies for local Gwinnett County youth.
