AZ Chike, Masquerade — Many rap fans first heard rising South Central, L.A. artist AZ Chike during his scene-stealing verse on Kendrick Lamar’s “gnx” standout track “peekaboo” back in 2024. In actuality, Chike has been grinding on the West Coast since for well over a decade. After working the momentum generated by his work with Kendrick Lamar for nearly two years, AZ Chike popped out with his seventh studio album and major label debut, “No Rest for the Wicked,” mid-September, and it featured contributions from industry heavy hitters such as Tyler, the Creator and Pharrell Williams. For the next couple of months, Chike will be taking his new critically acclaimed record on the road for the Monster Outbreak-powered “No Rest for the Wicked Tour.” The third stop of the tour belongs to Atlanta, where he will spend an evening in the Masqeurade’s most intimate venue: Purgatory. — joshua robinson
