From the venue:
Amid the sprawling greenhouses of southern Spain, Iván, a trans man working toward a long-awaited promotion, falls for Hadoum, a newly hired migrant worker. But when Iván becomes her supervisor, their tender new relationship is complicated by power, class and the precarious conditions surrounding them. Winner of the Teddy Award for Best Feature Film at the Berlin International Film Festival, Ian de la Rosa’s striking debut asks whether love can bridge the divisions that society—and survival—place between us.
