Out on Film 2026 - My Brother's Killer

From the venue:

Expanding upon the world of director Rachel Mason’s acclaimed 2019 Netflix documentary Circus of Books, My Brother’s Killer chronicles the remarkable effort by members of Los Angeles’ LGBTQ+ community to solve the 1990 murder of gay adult film performer Billy London.

For more than three decades, Billy’s brutal death lingered as an urban legend and an unsolved cold case. What begins as a documentary intended to honor his life evolves into a gripping community-led investigation as overlooked clues emerge from rare VHS recordings and personal footage. Linking Billy to several suspects during the narrow period surrounding his death, the film uncovers startling new connections—and reveals how those who cared about him never stopped fighting for answers.
