About Shepard Fairey
Shepard Fairey is an artist and designer whose practice spans painting, printmaking, graphic design, and public art. He began the "Andre the Giant Has a Posse" campaign while studying at the Rhode Island School of Design in 1989. The project evolved into OBEY GIANT, through which Fairey has explored the power of images and their place in political and cultural life.
