The band that put the umlauts in metal makes an Atlanta appearance with both quintessential members, Buck Dharma and Eric Bloom, in tow. From the group’s “Red and Black” period to its mid ’70s commercial breakthrough, BOC has long been touted as sophisticated metal and multifaceted hard rock. The group’s elaborate light show, tripped-out improv jams, dark matter riffs, along with major FM hits like “(Don’t Fear) The Reaper,” “Burnin’ for You,” and “Godzilla” should make for a mind-bending evening on Sat., Oct. 4. There will likely be a cowbell.
