Bill Sheffield
Bill Sheffield has been a cornerstone of Atlanta’s blues scene for more than 50 years, blending acoustic Piedmont blues, folk, gospel and country into a deeply personal body of work. Influenced early by the racial injustices he witnessed growing up in Atlanta and inspired by blues legends like Muddy Waters and Blind Willie Johnson, Sheffield turned to music as both an artistic outlet and a means of expression. A self-taught guitarist and songwriter, he has performed alongside icons such as B.B. King, John Lee Hooker and Big Mama Thornton, while building a reputation for his raw, soulful voice and heartfelt storytelling. Now entering a new chapter with his life partner and drummer Sandra Senn, Sheffield continues to perform and write, using his songs to confront pain, celebrate truth and speak to the struggles and resilience of the human spirit.
