Long Flat Red

Long Flat Red was an Atlanta-based rock band led by singer-songwriter Lydia Brownfield. Emerging from the earlier group Yonder, the band developed a distinct sound influenced by artists like PJ Harvey, Ani DeFranco, and Ray Charles. Known for their energetic live shows, they played prominent venues across the Southeast, including The Star Community Bar and The Roxy. Though offered a record deal by Ardent Records, the band eventually disbanded due to internal tensions. Brownfield later pursued solo work and other musical projects, continuing to perform in cities such as Atlanta, New York, and Columbus.
