Mayhem

Mayhem is a Norwegian black metal band formed in Oslo in 1984 and is regarded as a pioneer of the genre. Known for their intense sound and theatrical live performances, the band’s early years were marked by controversy and tragedy. Their 1994 debut, De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas, is considered a landmark in black metal. After a period of disbandment, the group reformed in the mid-1990s and continued evolving musically with more experimental material, including the award-winning Ordo Ad Chao in 2007.
