Ricky Martin

Ricky Martin is a Grammy-winning Puerto Rican singer, songwriter, and actor who rose to global fame for his energetic performances and Latin pop hits. Beginning his career with the boy band Menudo, he launched a successful solo career in the early 1990s. His international breakthrough came with hits like “María,” “La Copa de la Vida,” and the worldwide smash “Livin’ la Vida Loca,” which helped ignite the late-1990s Latin pop explosion. Known for blending genres such as salsa, reggaeton, and dance, Martin has sold over 70 million records and earned numerous awards, including multiple Grammys and Billboard honors. As an actor, he’s appeared in General Hospital, Evita on Broadway, and earned an Emmy nomination for The Assassination of Gianni Versace. He is also an outspoken advocate for LGBT rights and the founder of The Ricky Martin Foundation, which combats human trafficking.
