Young Dro, Black Lips, the Difference Machine, and more play 404 Day
Atlanta’s very own holiday celebrating the city’s creative culture returns Mon., April 4.
This marks the fifth year that Atlanta bass music promoter and Mighty High Coup MC Ricky Raw has organized a day dedicated to highlighting Atlanta’s music and arts scenes. “It’s Atlanta’s very own holiday celebrating the creative culture of our city,” Raw says.
This year, DJs/ATL mixtape veterans Mudfish and McBeezy will spin music for a pre-party on Fri., April 1, location TBD. Treasure Fingers will also do a daytime Psycho Disco DJ set — a house music day party at a location that remains TBD. Keep an eye out here for more information as it becomes available.
“I’m so surrounded by artists that this is just an avenue to highlight what they’re doing, and it’s bigger than just me as a person — instead of just me saying to you ‘Come check out this artist,’” Raw says. “Ultimately this is meant to bring together different styles of art, and to highlight Atlanta’s creative culture. We don’t need big stars from other cities. We have it all right here. Our city is rich with talent, to say the least.”
Tickets go on sale Fri., Jan. 22 at 10 a.m.
