Here’s a list of records that came out last Friday from Stereogum, including some artists who are coming to Atlanta soon: King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, Pity Sex, Aesop Rock, Rogue Wave, Museum Mouth, Horse Lords, Peach Kelli Pop, A Dead Forest Index, and more.

Here’s a new single from young Athens solo artist Brother Mary. “Mescaline” (from Immolate!, out Sat., May 6) is premiering at Immersive Atlanta. He plays the Masquerade on May 6, too, opening for Keeps and Slackwater.

Outer Gods are putting out a new record this summer via Stickfigure. Dismal Rift is due June 24, but you can listen to a promo edit of “Black Mountain Drone” right now via SoundCloud.

Immersive Atlanta has premiered a new video for Antarcticats’ “Serpentine,” from Irregardless

Just announced: Wolves in the Throne Room are playing the Earl Sun., Sept 18. They’re reissuing Diadem of 12 Stars, too.

Local music blog OpenEars Music is partnering with Public Radio /\ Sessions to launch a new live series at Eddie’s Attic called Sound Soup. Wednesday night’s inaugural event featured Oryx & Crake, Black Linen, and Grand Vapids. More details at Immersive Atlanta.

Both the EARL and the Tabernacle made Consequence of Sound’s list of the 100 best music venues in the U.S.

Just announced: Pinegrove is coming to the Masquerade on Sat., July 2, with SPORTS and Half Waif. The band just put out a new album, Cardinal (Run For Cover), and recently performed an acoustic session for Brooklyn Vegan.

L.A.’s Death Valley Girls will release Glow in the Dark on June 10 via Burger Records, but you can stream the title track right now via Brooklyn Vegan. The group will play with L.A. Witch and Jock Gang at 529 on Thurs., May 12.
