Beverly delivers sunshine-drenched pop

Beverly brings its summertime sound to the Earl.

Expect a healthy dose of serene dream-pop when Beverly’s touring lineup comes to the Earl tonight (Tues., Oct. 21). The Brooklyn group’s debut album, Careers (Kanine Records), was a collaboration between current solo artist and original Vivian Girls and Dum-Dum Girls drummer, Frankie Rose, and one of her musical cohort, Drew Citron. Careers’ July 1 release date was well-timed, as this collection of fuzzed-out, sunshine-drenched, and harmony-driven pop made for a solid summertime listen.

Though Rose does not tour with the group, opting to focus on her solo material, Citron has assembled a solid live band featuring drummer Jamie Ingalls (Charlift), bassist Scott Rosenthal (the Beets), and Caitlin Frame (FRAME) on guitar and synth.

Beverly, Small Reactions (album release), and On Holiday play the Earl tonight (Tues., Oct. 21). $8 adv., $10 door. 8:30 p.m. www.badearl.com/. 488 Flat Shoals Ave. SE East Atlanta, GA. 30316.
