Josh Evans of Muuy Biien’s top 5 songs and LPs that make him want to dance
... Although dancing to Bill Hicks would be one of the saddest dances of all time.
The Misfits, Static Age: I’ve owned this record since I was like 9 or 10. It’s still just as good as the first time I heard it. It’s just raw and catchy as hell.
Bill Hicks: “Rant In E Minor”: I discovered Hicks in middle school. Ever since then I’ve been digging up any bootleg or rare performance I can find. His material is untouchable. I think he’s influenced my writing and approach to music/life in general more than most things.

Green Gerry, Odd Tymes: Gerry is my best friend. I met him when I was just getting outta high school. I lived with him for a few years before he moved back to LA. We played a lot of music together. This record was the reason I threw myself into the music scene in Athens. I couldn’t believe someone could make music so haunting yet, so arrestingly beautiful.
The Fall, Grotesque: This band changed it all for me. I don’t think I have to explain how great they are. You either get it or you don’t.
James Brown, “The Payback”: I am convinced that If you put this song on anywhere at anytime, folks are gonna cut a rug. Sometimes I don’t think it’s long enough. He’s a fucking badass.
