This Saturday (Nov. 10), Jay Carter (the man behind the long-running Sol Fusion party), Jus10 and the Gidewon Group are joining forces to launch a brand-new shindig that goes by the name "dope." And according to Carter, its a party for "music lovers with A.D.D."
?
The event, which is set to go down every Saturday at Halo, features turntable support from A Tribe Called Quest's Ali Shaheed Muhammad, along with local notables Salah Ananse, Jackmaster Solomon, and DJ Speakerfoxx. Acclaimed MC Talib Kweli will be in the house to the rock the mic with a few of his own hits as well.
?
"The concept is to put three to four DJs in a constant rotation throughout the night. Each DJ will have their own unique style and concentration of music and their sets will only be for 20-30mins each, and then they rotate," Carter says. "The idea is to continuously beat you over the head with a fresh blend of all the music you love."

Free before 10:30 p.m. with RSVP. 9 p.m.-3 a.m. Halo, 817 W. Peachtree St., Suite E-100. www.dopeness.eventbrite.com.
