If you can't figure it out from the title, Lebowski Fest is a celebration of all things The Big Lebowski, and it's coming to Atlanta this Friday and Saturday (April 27-28). The film's devotees, or "achievers," as they like to call themselves, come dressed as their favorite characters from the movie and suck down as many White Russians as they can stomach.

?
Since the first official Lebowski Fest kicked off in Louisville, Ky., back in 2002, these things have been popping up in cities all over the country, and they just keep getting bigger. For this Atlanta premiere, there will, of course, be a screening of The Big Lebowski at Masquerade (in Heaven) on Friday night. Afterward, there will be a musical performance of Creedence Clearwater Revival's greatest hits as performed by local CCR cover band Fauxgerty (featuring members of Gringo Star). Please, no Eagles requests. It's $15 (adv) to get in and everything gets started at 8 p.m.

?
On Saturday night the party moves to 300 Atlanta for a night of bowling, beverages, and something called the "Highest Bowler contest" - you get the picture. Minors are welcome, but they must be accompanied by an adult because these Nihilists can get a little worked up at these things. Doors open at 7 p.m. and it's $25 (adv)/$30 (day of) to come in and throw some rocks with a whole bunch Walters, Dudes, Donnys, Woos, Jesuses, Maudes, Jackie Treehorns, and maybe even a few Bunny Lebowskis.
