Deerhunter announce new LP, Halcyon Digest

Last week we reported that Deerhunter had been mixing their new record with local hotshot producer Ben Allen. Now, the news has come down the pike that the LP in question has a name and an accompanying "interactive xerox art project".

Halcyon Digest is set to be released on September 28 of this year on 4AD. It has a website! Visitors to the site are instructed to print out a black-and-white flyer (available here) and hang it around their town - "in their favorite independent record store, co-op, bedroom, library, etc." People are further instructed to photograph their flyer-hangin' skillz and send the pics to flyers at halcyondigest.com, complete with the city where the photo was taken. The photos will presumably be displayed all together somewhere once they are compiled. Neato!

In addition to being part of a totally kool worldwide art project (read: Deerhunter street team), those folks who submit flyer pics will receive a download link for Halcyon Digest's first as yet untitled single. Double neato! Get on the ball, y'all!
