Tambor, Atlanta's Best Club Event, continues to prove why it's earned that award with a first-time-in-Atlanta appearance by Timmy Regisford. He helped start and has held down a residency at the legendary Shelter in NYC about as long as it's been around — 21 years — and has produced several recent house music classics. I'm especially looking forward to him dropping "At the Club" featuring Lynn Lockamy (video below jump) and his rework of "Burnin Hot" by Peven Everett, another recent Tambor guest. In short, Regisford knows what he's doing, can count folks like Tony Humphries and Louie Vega as peers, and has probably served as inspiration for many a dance music producer. He goes on early, too, starting at 11 for maximum dance indulgence. DJ Stan Zeff and DJ BE of Tambor kick things off right. $12-$20. 10 p.m. 595 North, 595 North Ave. 770-884-1594. tamborparty.eventbrite.com.
