Derek Trucks' missing equipment, Snowden, Winter Music Conference, Squirrelheads
On March 11, a trailer packed with $60,000 worth of music equipment was stolen from drummer Yonrico Scott's house in Brookhaven. The trailer belonged to acclaimed guitarist Derek Trucks.
??
"All of our equipment was in it," says Blake Budney, manager for the Derek Trucks Band. The group usually keeps the trailer at member Scott's house in between tours. Since the New York-based Trucks and his band are gearing up for a new jaunt in support of Songlines, it looks like they'll have to buy new equipment. "We're still hopeful that the trailer will turn up," says Budney.
??
Details about the equipment — much of which was specially customized by the band — are posted on www.derektrucks.com. If you have specific information about the stolen property, e-mail Budney at management@derektrucksband.com.
