Spotlight On: Karrine Steffans

In her debut book, Confessions of a Video Vixen, author Karrine Steffans chronicles her rise from poverty to a life of sex, drugs and hip-hop. Confessions also details the former “video girl’s” trysts with entertainment heavyweights from coast to coast - in locales like Los Angeles and, yes, even Atlanta. Here’s what she had to say about her stints with some of the city’s biggest wigs:

Usher: “When Usher and I were together five years ago, it was great, but when I saw him again he was quite cocky and aloof. I totally understand why and how he could have changed. I think that when you reach that kind of success, it does something to your brain. But hopefully he’ll grow out of that and be fine in the end.”

Zane (formerly Lil’ Zane): “Zane’s not in the book, but we dated for a year or year-and-a-half. We spent time with his family, and we did Christmas and New Year’s together. It was a private time for both of us.”

Bobby Brown: “Bobby has his demons, and I saw them firsthand. He is a good-hearted, warm, loving person who loves his family. We had what we had, and I think it served a place in both of our lives. The day it was over, it was just time for it to be over. We just walked away and never looked back.”??
