Bar Review - Room at Twelve Centennial Park

A ROOM WITH A VIEW: Located on the ground floor of the Twelve Centennial Park Hotel and Residences, this swank steakhouse feels more New York than Atlanta with its show-stopping minimalist decor and skyline views. But you can bypass the fancy restaurant and grab a seat at the horseshoe-shaped bar if you are craving a more casual night out on the town.

CRAFTY COCKTAILS: The lengthy list of cocktails is the work of the restaurant’s resident “Cocktail Chef” — the guy actually tends the bar in a chef coat embroidered with that title. The Moscow Mule — a spicy blend of ginger beer, tangy fresh lime juice and vodka — awakens the palate. But creativity shines in concoctions like the Grilled Pineapple Martini, made with bourbon, pineapple, vanilla, pineapple juice and topped with a piece of grilled pineapple.

SAVE SOME SPACE: While you can order from the regular menu of succulent charbroiled or grilled steaks when the restaurant is open — the ribeye is the best of the bunch — and a small but quality selection of sushi, the bar menu holds plenty of treasures: clever small bites such as mini corn dogs, or a juicy bacon cheeseburger stacked high on a soft bun.
