Duane Peters and Co. show off what American punk is all about
Duane Peters has certainly been around the block ... More than a few times. In the ‘70s, he was a chief liaison introducing skateboarding to punk fashion, all while helping to shape the styles, tricks, and techniques of modern skating, earning him the nickname, “the Master of Disaster.” Since 1993, Peters has fronted the Orange County punk outfit U.S. Bombs. With albums such as 1997’s Never Mind the Opened Minds and 2006’s We Are the Problem, the group, has turned out a consistent show of libertine punk rock anthems. Expect no nonsense when these guys take the stage, just a group of solid dudes cranking out working class jams, showing off what American punk is all about. With the Hannging Judge and Rotten Stitches. $15 (adv). 7 p.m. (doors). Masquerade. 75 MLK Jr. Drive SW. 404-577-8178. www.masq.com.
