Get your Joe Wilson-isms right here!

After U.S. Rep. Joe Wilson, R-S.C., lost his composure during President Obama’s Sept. 9 speech on health care, the controversial outburst generated quite a bit of, um, controversy.

“I have seen every President address a joint session of Congress in the past 23 years, in good times and bad. I have never heard any member of Congress yell out during a speech and call the President a liar. This kind of disrespect should not be tolerated.”

— U.S. Rep. John Lewis, D-Ga., in a press release issued the day after the outburst

“I’m embarrassed by that. That shouldn’t have happened.”

— Sen. Saxby Chambliss, R- Ga., quoted by the AJC

“If he’s the face of the GOP, we’ll have a public option by Columbus Day!”

— A Twitter.com tweet from CL columnist Andisheh Nouraee, referenced on CNN.com

“Joe Wilson claims your sick child is faking.”
