Round one of the 2011 Fox Summer Coca-Cola Film Festival has been announced.

The four screenings between June 9-11 include two of 2010’s Oscar contenders, as well as an off-beat animated charmer, and a Literary Adaptation of a Southern Classic not called Gone With the Wind.

Get out your iPhones and Blackberries and update your stati, as the festival kicks off on Thursday June 9 at 7:30 PM with The Social Network, a film about something called “Facebook.”

The experts say it may replace Friendster. (For the record, I have my money on a new site called MySpace.)

The series continues with a double-shot of Westerns—both of which exemplify and deconstruct the genre:

On Friday June 10, at 7:30 PM, bask in the glory of Roger Deakins wide-screen photography in the Coen Brothers’ True Grit, followed by a Saturday, June 11 matinee at 2:00 PM with the gonzo animated Western Rango.
