Braves’ wacky road trip finally ends

As the Braves return home for their second homestand, Ben Bussard gives his analysis of their first road trip.

; The first road trip of the 2010 season came to a mercifully overdue conclusion last night for the Atlanta Braves.

Posting a 3-3 record over a six-game stretch against the San Francisco Giants and the San Diego Padres, the Braves endured a 13-inning marathon, a four-hour rain delay and a 15-run blowout loss.

Not exactly ideal circumstances.

Sure, spending the week playing baseball in California may seem like a relaxing, enjoyable vacation road trip, but the scheduling fairies didn’t do the Braves any favors when mapping out their maiden voyage away from Turner Field.
