Pancakes and Booze brings the party to the people

The art world is a competitive place. Vying for the attention of the fickle fleets of gallery-goers is no simple objective - I’ve seen naked cater waiters and live bugs in drinks. And for the most part, it seems like everyone is just trying too damn hard to offer up the edge and flash that will bring the masses.

Yet somehow, edgy is getting tired. Time’s are tough! Galleries need to accept the fact that, at least for right now, all of their high-brow shenanigans do nothing but remind us that we sold our fancy pants to pay our mortgage, and that we really oughta stay our asses home rather than go to your pretty art party. Sorry.

Fortunately, someone is ready to give the people what they want! Lots of booze and endless free pancakes! At an art party! That’s exactly what traveling LA-based art show Pancakes & Booze offers patrons. The event features more than 30 underground Atlanta artists (because, seriously, how much Sister Louisa can one person handle?), live music, body painting, an endless pancake bar, and a refreshing BYOB policy. So you won’t only have booze, you’ll have the booze you like. Way to appeal to the people.
