GSU unveils new fight song (they're from the A-T-L)
In case you didn't know where Georgia State University is located, the school's new fight song will refresh your memory.
About 12 months ago, Jay Bocook was given the chore of creating a new fight song for Georgia State University in an attempt to re-brand the athletic program before the school's inaugural football season.
Bocook, a music professor at Furman University whose arrangements have been featured during multiple Olympic Games, had never written a fight song before, but here's what he came up with:
No word yet on whether or not local rappers T.I. or Ludacris had anything to do with the following line:
"We're from the A-T-L. We're gonna give them hell."
Not sure if including the school's address was necessary, but then again, representing the ATL never goes out of style.
Would anyone have complained if the song ended with: "Peace up, A-town down"?
