Two convicted of 30 Deep, International Robbing Crew shooting
Two incompetent gunmen were found guilty today in the 2007 shooting of three suspected gang members outside a Mechanicsville convenience store.
25-year-old Marco “White Boy” Moses and 29-year-old Moerise “Mo” Williams were apparently part of a "loose-knit" crew from Campbellton Road seeking revenge against members of 30 Deep and the International Robbing Crew. Using assault rifles and handguns, they fired 20 times into a parked vehicle, striking one man in the arm seven times, but failing to injure the other two.
They were initially IDed and arrested, but a witness later recanted his statement. Investigators, who found $20,000 in cash in Moses' home, believe the witness was bribed.
They'll be sentenced by Judge Kimberly Esmond Adams, the same judge who sent 30 Deep member Jonathan Redding to prison for life (plus 70 years).
