Sometime Peachbuzzer Rich Eldridge, now the voice of Atlanta Magazine's "ATL INTEL" broke two bits of news about Jane Fonda's Georgia Campaign for Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention (G-CAPP) non-profit.
First—they the organization has hired a successor to Michele Ozumba, who announced last spring that she had accepted the position of Chief Program Officer at the Women’s Funding Network in San Francisco, CA. Vikki Millender-Morrow, the current president and CEO of Girls Incorporated of Greater Atlanta will helm the 17-year-old organization committed to enriching the lives of adolescents and helping them achieve a healthy, productive future free of early pregnancy.
Secondly—and of interest to readers of this column, Fonda announced that she will be hosting a star-studded premier event for her new film Peace, Love & Misunderstanding this fall as a fundraiser for G-CAPP: "The film, shot last summer in upstate New York boooo, finds Fonda playing a Woodstock hippie grandmother who seeks to mend emotional fences with her estranged daughter played by Being John Malkovich actress Catherine Keener. Fonda is also hoping to convince her other co-stars, including Jeffrey Dean Morgan ("Grey's Anatomy"), Chace Crawford ("Gossip Girl"), Nat Wolff ("The Naked Brothers Band") and Kyle MacLachlan ("Desperate Housewives") to join her and director Bruce Beresford (who notably shot Driving Miss Daisy in Atlanta 22 years ago) on the red carpet here" for the October 4 Woodruff Arts Center red carpet premier.
