  • Devastation!

Yeah, yeah, we couldn’t resist. Construction crews today began demolishing the Edgewood Avenue bridge connecting Inman Park and the Old Fourth Ward. Once the rubble’s cleared, workers will build a new span that will include connections to the Atlanta Beltline. Beltline officials say the $4.5 million project should be finished next April and will be followed by the extension of the popular Eastside Trail to DeKalb Avenue. If you use the popular route and are looking for a detour, here ya go. Beltline officials will provide updates about the bridge construction as well.
