Y’all did good

Good news for a Monday morning: Fundraising for Creative Loafing’s Do Good Campaign ended on Saturday and all three projects surpassed their $2,500 goals. Old Fourth Ward raised $2,550 for Marie Cowser Memorial Park, $2,551 was raised in Grant Park to help restore and revitalize part of Oakland Cemetery destroyed by the 2008 tornado, and Capitol View and Capitol View Manor killed their goal for the neighborhoods’ arts-based anti-litter campaign, raising $3,623. For each project, the Home Depot Foundation will match funds raised dollar for dollar up to $2,500. Thanks to everyone who came out to happy hours, helped spread the word, or made a contribution. We’ll continue to follow all the the projects’ progress here at Fresh Loaf. In the meantime, you can nominate an idea for your neighborhood as a future Do Good project.
