Filming Updates:
>> Triple Nine is filming at/around White Street just east of Westview Cemetery.

>> Per Jennifer Brett, HBO’s Bessie Smith biopic has been filming at the Strand Theatre in Marietta. The film, you may remember, stars Queen Latifah. It wraps in August.

>> The Duff, starring Bella Thorne, is nearing the very end of its production, having shot at Perimeter Mall and Marietta High.

>> “The Walking Dead” continued to film at the Hurt Building early this week. Here’s Norman Reedus, if you squint.

>> USA’s “Satisfaction” (formerly “Neil, Inc.”) filmed at 14th and Northside/Hemphill. The series premieres next Thursday.

Sightings:
>> After performing at Chastain on Monday, Lionel Richie and a party of 15 had dinner at Del Frisco’s in Buckhead. Don’t worry, the Nutella bread pudding was enjoyed for dessert.

>> Fox screened its forthcoming “Red Band Society,” about sick kids, hospitals, and life, at the Atlantic Station Regal yesterday. Octavia Spencer was there.

Castings:
>> Insurgent needs shaggy-haired white, Asian, or Hispanic guys for work this Monday or Thursday. You gotta be either 5-foot-8 and 150 pounds, 5-foot-11 and 175 pounds, or 5-foot-10 and 148 pounds. Email photos and info to mineral.homeless at gmail.com. Also needed: “MEAN, BULLY TYPES.”

>>Feeling like a vacation? I’m told the The Race is seeking extras for production down in St. Marys tomorrow, including people of all ages to play both spectators to and runners in a race. Shooting starts at 6 a.m. at the Howard Gilman Memorial Waterfront Park near the amphitheater. All you have to do is show up.

Deals & Payoffs:
>> This year’s Emmy nominations, announced yesterday, were very good for Atlanta’s animation scene: “Archer,” “Adventure Time,” and “Robot Chicken” (the latter two broadcast by Turner) all got called out. “The Walking Dead,” which is otherwise terrible, got nods for sound editing and visual effects.

>> MTV’s “Finding Carter” premiered on Tuesday. The series - about a girl who discovers her mother is actually her kidnapper and that she has an entire other family - films in Atlanta, like right now, but is meant to take place in the fall. “We’re supposed to be losing foliage but verdant Atlanta kept getting greener and greener,” said showrunner Terri Minsky.

>> Here’s the first trailer for the fifth season of “The Walking Dead.”

>> Here is the obviously better of the two recently released Mockingjay teasers.

Miscellany:
>> A Villa Rica native has made it all the way into the top eight of this year’s “Last Comic Standing.” Take a look.

>> Here are Let’s Be Cops stars Jake Johnson and Damon Wayans Jr. talking about filming in Atlanta, including lots of work at Atlantic Station, last year. Johnson: “It was really fun. It was really hot.”

>> Please tell me one of you went to see “24” star Mary Lynn Rajskub at the Laughing Skull or are going to! She’s there through Sunday.
