>>Writer Jane Wodening lived alone in a mountain cabin for 10 years. She was also the star of much of her late husband’s short films including one of her giving birth and another of the couple arguing. Her life on film will be screening at Film Love on F eb. 13 at the Atlanta Contemporary Art Center. Seriously this is kind of like reality TV before the #Kardashians.

>>Did you know: AMC’s The Walking Dead producers had a 15-foot fence built around a community in Senoia in order to pass it off as a “zombie free zone” on the show. In other words, if zombies ever come to Atlanta, Senoia is the place to flee to.

>>Black History Bit: Filmmaker Taylor Ri’chard’s first feature film, a horror titled The Last Project, was filmed in Atlanta but is supposed to represent the “haunted” Lafitte Plantation in Louisiana. Ri’chard says that he does not want to be “genre specific.” Instead, he wants to create films in genres where African-American filmmakers and actors are underrepresented. He’s thinking something along the lines of Avatar with black people for a future project. Be on the lookout.

FYI: The Last Project debuts today.
