Omnivore - Great pizza, Great Dane
Pizza for Memorial Day
After unsuccessfully attempting to dine at three barbecue joints on Memorial Day, we landed at Grant Central where we ordered this pizza, a special, topped with prosciutto, arugula and tomatoes. It was quite tasty and we enjoyed sitting outdoors. (That’s Dakota Blue in the background.)
Of course, sitting outdoors brings you into contact with dog people. Usually, their dogs just nip at your ankles. But now and then a canine behemoth like the Great Dane at right appears to oversee your eating.
We’ve taken up the subject of dogs in restaurants and their patios before. I don’t mind, but ...
