Buckhead Diner flunks health inspection

Guy Wong tells me that the Sunday dinner he hosted with David Sweeney of the defunct Dynamic Dish was a huge hit. It was held at Wong’s restaurant, Miso Izakaya, during the nearby Inman Park Festival. Wong says they had to turn away many people at the door. No word yet on whether the two will host another dinner anytime soon. ...

Wong also alerted me to the latest big restaurant to flunk its health inspection — Buckhead Diner. It is fighting back, however, claiming the new system of inspections is “broken.” Check out WSB-TV’s video piece on the issue. ...

Bell Street Burritos is getting lots of attention since USA Today cited it last week among its list of “10 great places to bite into a big burrito” in America. A reader wrote me to say that owner Matt Hinton is now serving the shrimp burrito that was my favorite at the old Tortillas, whose menu he is replicating. I will be there in five minutes. ...

Yay for the Grant Park Farmers Market that launches Sun., May 15. The market, whose hours are 10 a.m.-2 p.m., will continue through Nov. 20. It will be held at the Milledge Fountain, located at the intersection of Milledge and Cherokee avenues. There’s lots of information on the market’s Facebook page.
