A fleet of new shopping carts and modernized displays weren’t the only changes brought on by recent renovations at the Edgewood Shopping Center Target; the store also expanded its grocery section to include fresh produce, a meat section, and even baked goods. Watch out Kroger, you’ve go some competition.

Built on a model of convenient one-stop shopping, it seems that Target’s modest grocery section will, in fact, be able to compete with the neighboring Kroger. Despite sharing a parking lot, several Target customers said they would skip a trip to Kroger if Target had the item in question—even if the price was higher at Target.

But which store is less expensive? We paid each store a visit, and did a little research of our own to learn more.
