Judging by the weather, spring arrived in Atlanta some time in ... hmmm, December maybe? Yes, the flowers and the pollen came early, but it didn’t really feel like spring without being witness to a weekly bounty of arugula and beets, strawberries and spring onions. I’ve been in need of a farmers market fix to really prove that winter was on its way out. Luckily, thankfully, finally, the Peachtree Road Farmers Market re-opened this past Saturday for the season: bigger, better, and possibly more crowded than ever. I arrived early, hoping to beat the crowds, but the main parking lot was already full at 8:40 a.m. Apparently, I wasn’t the only one eager for the return of fresh (mostly), local (mostly), good things to eat ..
